Action for Congo led a successful advocacy campaign to secure the official proclamation of June 30, 2025, as Congolese American Day in Washington, DC. This milestone recognition was formally presented at the Office of the Mayor on June 27, 2025, honoring the contributions of the Congolese diaspora and celebrating the enduring cultural and historical ties between the United States and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
